Monday, 1 December 2008 - Greeting Cards Exhibition

On Sunday, the 30th of November 2008, at 4:00PM, Harboyan and Mesrobian High Schools organized the "Benevolent Greeting Cards" exhibition, under the patronage of the DMS Onlus
 
of Italy. The event took place in AUC Hall with the participation of the students, as well as the Mesrobian Technical College's BP (Preparatory Brevet) students.

The president of the DMS Onlus Organization, Professors Angelo and Barbara Bosio had specially arrived in Beirut for this occasion. Mrs. Rita Boyadjian, the principal of the Harboyan School, and Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, the principal of Mesrobian High School, as well as the parents, teachers the staff and friends of Harboyan and Mesrobian schools were present. After the opening ceremony all gathered in Hovhannes Boghossian theatre hall where Gregoire Kaloust delivered his speech. He the professors Angelo and Barbara Bosio, showing his gratitude for their support. An artistic program followed the speech, where the students’ dancing group of Harboyan School performed Armenian traditional dances.

At the end of the artistic program, the distribution of the prizes took place. Students receiving the first prize won full scholarships, while the ones receiving the second prize won half scholarships, and the ones receiving the third won one third of their scholarships. Prizes of USD $100 were also distributed. In total, 57 students received prizes. Prof. Angelo Bosio, delivered also gav a speech. After greeting the audience in Armenian, continued  in English, thanked the principals of both schools and expressed his willingness to help Lebanese Armenian schools in the coming years.

On Monday, the 1st of December, 2008, the Italian couple visited both schools, in order to present a souvenir for each and every student who participated in this competition.
