On Sunday, the 24th of June, 2007, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in St. Gregory Church of Ortakoy, Constantinople, to commemorate the feast of discovery of the Relics of St. Gregory the Illuminator.
Under the patronage of His Excellency Msgr. Hovhanness Arch. Cholakian, His Excellency Msgr. Kevork Arch. Khazoumian celebrated the Divine Liturgy. In His paternal message Msgr. Khazoumian wished that the Armenian Nation would stay attached and hang on to its Christian beliefs and search its support and pillar not only in the Church to which it has entirely belonged in the past but in new sects and divisions as well as in new human organizations.
On this special day, Sister Theopiste Bedrossian, the representative of the congregation of the Armenian Sisters of Immaculate Conception, who had arrived from Rome, also participated in the celebration of the Divine Liturgy along with the other sisters.
The choir of St. Hovan Chrysostom church lead by by Mr. Levon Eroyan performed the singing.
At the end of the celebration of the Divine Liturgy, memorial service was held for the deceased souls of the members belonging to the St. Gregory Church.
