Tuesday, 6 May 2008 - The Armenian Catholic Community in Moscow Commemorated the Armenian Genocide

By the presidency of the Archbishop of the Latin Church of Russia His Excellency Pavlo Betsi, on the 27th of April 2008 at 3:30 pm, in the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary church, the Armenian Catholic community of Moscow commemorated the 93rd anniversay of the Armenian Genocide.

After the opening speech, the audience watched a slideshow dediacted to the Genocide, after which an artistic program was prepared for this occasion. The " Vartanank" dance group whose artistic director is Vartan Tateyosian performed several dances. Elena Simonian recited poetry accompanied by the duduk.

The Blessed Martyr Ignatius Maloyan choir lead by Marine Paghnikian performed songs and the " Vlatimirits" theatre group permormed a play about the Genocide directed by Asdghig Karamian.

The message for this day was delivered by Father Kevork Noradounguian.

The commemoration of April 24 event ended in prayer for the souls of all the martyrs of the Armenian Genocide.
