On Thursday, the 30th of August 2007, at 8:00 pm, the representatives of the different associations and movements of the Annunciation Parish had gathered in the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate yard, to bid farewell to their former parish priest Father Nareg Louissian and to welcome the newly assigned priest, Father Vartan Kazandjian.

In the opening speech Ms. Ani Kalenderian presented the souvenir granted to Father Nareg in the name of the parish of the Our Lady of Annunciation Church, as a symbol of gratitude and appreciation for his hard work of three years.

To mark this special occasion the “Cilicia” and “Groung” performed a couple of songs which added enthusiasm among the presents.

In his turn, Father Vartan spoke to the parish members mentioning that this change is nothing but a new beginning. He invited all, in particular the youth, to work together cause it is only through cooperation and hard work they will be able to secure success and prosperity in the future.
 
The night ended with a surprise, when with a  special cake, the parish of Our Lady of Annunciation Church mentioned the 15th anniversary of Father Vartan’s priestly ordination.
