On the 30th of October 2006, at 11:00 am, His Beatitude Nerses Bedros XIX Catholicos Patriarch of Cilicia of the Armenian Catholics received His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of Cilicia, in the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate. The delegation accompanying Catholicos Aram I included the Very Reverend fathers Norayr Ashekian, Krikor Chiftjian, Friar Mesrob Sarkisian and Mr.Tsolag Tutelian, a member of the National Central Administration.

The meeting that lasted about an hour was attended also by the Very Honorable Bishop Father Honhannes Teyrouzian, the general superior of the congregation of Bzommar Father Kevork Yeghyaian, parish fathers Antranig Granian, Father Kevork Asadourian, Father Nareg Louisian, Father Ghevont Kendirjian and Mr. Sarkis Najarian.

During the meeting and under the warm atmosphere of brotherhood, many matters were brought up and discussed including the outcomings of the 16th forum of the Catholic Patriarchs of the Middle East, the different reasons of immigration of the Armenians from the Christian regions, the National and Christian upbringing of the new generations, the difficulties stirring up the Armenian schools, the present political situation in Lebanon and the many International efforts attempting to improve it. The importance of the roles of the two Catholicoses was also mentioned in uniting the Armenians.

His Beatitude bid farewell to His Holiness with many wishes of success and prosperity.
