Tuesday, 28 February 2006 - Armenia's New Ambassador Vahan Der Ghevontian Visited the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate
 On Tuesday, the 28th of February 2006, Armenia's new ambassador in Lebanon, Mr. Vahan Der Ghevontian visited the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate where he was welcomed by His Beatitude Nerses Bedros XIX Catholicos Patriarch. The Very Honorable Bishop Father Hovhannes Teyrouzian, the general superior of the congregation of Bzommar father Kevork Yeghiayan, superiors and principles of Armenian Catholic congregations and schools, as well as members of the eparchies' commission were all present during the meeting.After the greeting speeches of the Catholicos Patriarch and the new ambassador, discussions went on and were mostly about the Armenia - Lebanon, Armenia - Diaspora relations in the cultural, economic and educational fields, as well as about the issues related to Armenia and the Armenians in general. The ambassador enlightened the presents with information concerning issues related to Artsakh and Armenia. Mr. Vahan Der Ghevontian complimented the support of the Armenian Catholic community for the Armenian embassy. The Catholicos Patriarch assured him that this support will never lessen.
