On the 1st of August 2007 at the break of dawn, over 1000 retired and active leaders of the Scout du Liban association gathered in Harissa to celebrate along with 28 million scouts across the world, under the title of "Scouting Sunrise" the passing of 100 years since the foundation of the World Scout Movement.

During this gathering, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated around an alter built especially for this occasion, and to which the scouts of St. Gregory the Illuminator from Ashrafieh and the Scouts of St. Mesrob from Bourj Hamoud participated, led by Father Ghevnot Kendirjian and Father Nareg Louisian.

At the end of the ceremony, the scouts sang the Scouts Oath Song to renew their oath, in remaining loyal to their Christian and Scout principles, in becoming modest and honest individuals, ready to serve their community with a commitment of making the world a better place.
