During the meeting, His Beatitude once more congratulated the 80 years jubilee of “Aztag”, expressing great appreciation for the work that He considered very worthy of praise and encouragement, because according to the Catholicos Patriarch this means of communication gives an essential moral power to the Armenians in the diaspora in general and the Armenians in Lebanon in particular.

All the difficulties that the printing press faces today were also discussed and the effect of the new technological enhancements on today’s reader, as well as many plans that tend to improve the influence of press on todays reader public.

During the one hour meeting, His Beatitude expressed His great appreciation for the 80 years uninterrupted course of Aztag, in spite of the many difficulties in Lebanon, wishing the newspaper and all the editors and employees new triumphs and perseverant success.

In his turn, Sir Kandaharian thanked His Beatitude and invited Him to the editing house of Aztag.
