Before the special Synod for the Catholic Churches in the Middle East that will take place in October 2010 in Vatican, the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate organized a conference on the Armenian Catholic social media that will take place on the 24th and the 25th of September 2010 in Lebanon, in the UAC Araradian Hall of the Patriarchate. The program of the conference includes a general presentation and an introduction to the Armenian Catholic media work. Also, there will be reports and interventions.
The conference will study the present case of the Armenian Catholic media and its role in the future.
The conference will be presided by His Beatitude Nerses Bedros XIX Catholicos Patriarch, with the participation of all the persons who are in charge of the Armenian Catholic social media.
The conference will start on Friday, the 24th of September 2010 at 4:00 PM with the blessing of the Spiritual Father and the closing is foreseen on Saturday, the 25th of September at 1:00 PM.
This meeting will study the paragraphs concerning the work and the role of the social media, in the preparatory file of the special Synod for the Middle East, by trying to answer the questions that are asked in the file and making new suggestions in this direction. Also, there will be interventions and testimonies by responsible managers working in the domain of social media with the aim of applying a new guideline in order to present the best image of the Universal Church and particularly the Armenian Catholic Hierarchy including its teachings and dogmas and to spread the Christian values in the whole world.
Let’s mention that during the last months, 3 consultative meetings took place during the process of preparing this conference. The first one took place in the Levonian Armenian Catholic College in Rome in July 2010, the second and the third took place in Lebanon during August and September.
