Hagop Petros VII Holassian |
(1841-1843) |
"My government pillar"
He was from St. Antoine's order. He spent the shortest period of patriarchate, one year and seven months during which he suffered. He spent the big part of his life as the vicar of the previous patriarchs, the patriarchate administrator and a prudent adviser.
He became also the friend of Emir Bachir II. Indeed, marrying a non - Christian Circassian, Emir Bachir II, in order to prepare her to the Christian religion and baptism, went to patriarch Gregory VI who designated his vicar bishop Hagop for that mission.
Talking about this Armenian clergyman, Emir Bachir II was saying:
- He is the pillar of my government.
It is known that, Emir Bachir was reserving part of his precious objects in the Bzommar convent, every time that the events were obliging him to leave from his country.
