The delegation of the "Moustakbal" deputies' bloc, headed by the deputy-minister of Youth and Sports, Ahmad Fatfat, visited the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate on the noon of Thursday, the 2nd of February 2006, and was welcomed by His Beatitude Nerses Bedros XIX Catholicos Patriarch. The Very Honorable Bishop Father Hovhannes Teyrouzian and Father Nareg Louissian were present during the meeting. The purpose of the visit was to help, through visits with the leaders of the different communities of Lebanon, in the reduction of the alarmed mood of the country, to strengthen the dialogue and to have an exchange of thoughts with those leaders on the moving issues of the country. The delegation passed on to the Catholicos Patriarch the warm salutes of Sheikh Saad Al Hariri and of the Prime Minister Siniora, as well as the point of view of the "Moustakbal" bloc informing him of the latter's relations till this day. The members of the delegation reassured that the "Moustakbal" bloc is only concerned with the benefit of Lebanon. The Catholicos Patriarch in his turn reassured that the Armenian Catholic community has and will always work for the benefit of the country in all its aspects, and has never nor will it ever withhold any effort in the reinforcement of the national security, education and prosperity. He insisted on the importance of dialogue as a solution to all problems and invited all parties to show a positive approach to strengthen their coexistence, for the benefit of the country. Afterwards, the Catholicos Patriarch insisted on the importance of the strengthening of the security and of giving special attention to the amelioration of the social and financial status of the people.
